Nice afternoon in Brussels, with A’s Belgian friend O. He picked us up at the airport hotel and took us to the centrum where we parked at the top of a tall parking garage (for a 360-view) and then wandered around a bit for some food and beer. I tried some new-to-me Belgian beers, and also had a glass of one of my favorites (St. Bernardus abt 12). There was a jazz festival and people playing live music in the main square, but the beer was expensive there so we didn’t stay long.
A good night’s sleep followed by 10 more hours on the plane (7.5 hrs to Kigali, then a wait for passengers to leave and board, then 35min to Entebbe). The Brussels airlines flight map showed the world from all different angles (not just north=up).
